MEDIA RELEASE, 26th September 2016 On the 1st October 2016, Australian luxury institution LK Boutique will transition into KENNEDY; an evolution that reflects the transcendence of LK Boutique from a retailer of luxury timepieces to the leading destination for curated fine precision.

Founded by Louis and Martha Kennedy in 1976, LK Boutique was born from a passion for the sheer beauty and precision of the world’s finest timepieces, jewellery and accessories. LK Boutique boasts one of the country’s most extensive collections of Rolex and Patek Philippe timepieces, high-end jewellery from Bayco and Kailis and accessories by Dunhill, Tom Ford and Celine to name a few.

With 2016 marking 40 years of LK Boutique’s operation, Emerald Group Investments (EGI) Group CEO James Kennedy’s rebrand of the company to KENNEDY draws on the legacy of the Kennedy family name as a key influence of quality artisan luxury in Australia. The milestone also marks a remarkable 40-year relationship with Patek Philippe, and 30-year relationship with Rolex.

EGI Group CEO James Kennedy says As we celebrate LK Boutique’s 40th anniversary this year, we couldn’t think of a more fitting way to honor the company’s family heritage than with an exciting rebrand to KENNEDY. We hope this transition will engage a new generation of luxe consumers, whilst also reflecting the continued commitment to our core and loyal audience”.

Since his appointment in 2009, James Kennedy, son of Louis and Martha Kennedy, has succeeded in introducing a revitalised and modern perspective to the brand, whilst remaining true to the heritage of the family business. In 2016, the brand continues to achieve double digit sales growth year on year, as a result of effective business and brand strategies.

In support of the rebrand, the newly refurbished KENNEDY multi-brand boutique in Crown Melbourne will officially open on 1st October 2016. The re-direction will see the addition of Cartier to KENNEDY Melbourne, with the store featuring its own dedicated concept spaces for both Cartier and Patek Philippe. IWC and Bayco Jewels will also have dedicated installations.
