November 2016 - Our Chief Business Development Officer, Melinda O’Rourke and Bang & Olufsen General Manager ANZ, Julian Kipping were recently invited to participate in a panel discussion on the intersection of technology, design and innovation.
The event was hosted by HP and Stylerunner at the premium activewear retailer’s Paddington pop up store, and included panelists who have worked with brands at the forefront of design and innovation: Paul Gracey, Director HP Personal Systems South Pacific; Julie Stevanja, Founder & CEO, Stylerunner and Chris Kyvetos, Founder & Creative Director, Sneakerboy.
The session explored the value of leveraging brand heritage, the redefinition of the technology category with a focus on form over function and how the end user is ultimately changing the rules for brands.
Julian shared how partnerships between brands who possess the same values and passions can deliver innovation that enhances the customer experience – referencing the Bang & Olufsen collaboration.
Melinda, who moderated the panel, said that the discussion “brought together what is actually happening in the technology space from design, innovation and then delivery though to the end consumer.”
